Filling

What is Filling?
It shows its effect by preventing the release of substances that provide transmission at nerve endings and stopping the transmission between nerves and the organs they reach. The cessation of the nervous system causes the functions of the organ that the nerve reaches to decrease or disappear completely. It can be used for aesthetic and cosmetic purposes, to reduce wrinkles on the face that occur with the movements of facial muscles, to prevent their formation, to reduce sweating in excessive sweating areas, and in the treatment of chronic migraine.

Why is filling done?
Wrinkles and lines that become evident on our face as we age and occur as a result of contraction of the facial muscles can be eliminated with Botox. In the area where filler is applied, the signals transmitted from the nerves to the facial muscles, causing the muscles to contract, are temporarily paralyzed. Contraction of muscle cells is prevented and the amount of stiffening in the muscles is minimized. At the same time, abnormal muscle contractions stop. As a result, the facial muscles relax for a while and the formation of wrinkles and fine lines stops.

How is Filling Done?
The filler is applied as an injection and is not a painful procedure. A slight pain may be felt under the injection. After the application area is cleaned, the toxin is injected in small doses into the muscles in the area with the help of fine-tipped needles. The process takes approximately 15 minutes. Botulinum toxin injected into the muscle tissue begins to show its effect after approximately 24-72 hours. Sometimes, although rare, this period may extend up to 5 or 7 days. The duration of effect is 4-6 months. Daily life can be continued easily after the filler application. However, movements that require bending for long periods of time and exercising facial muscles should be avoided.

In Which Areas Is Filling Used?
Filling in Facial Aesthetics
With filler, forehead lines, neck wrinkles, fine lines above the upper lip, and lines between the eyebrows that cause an angry appearance on the face can be prevented for 3-6 months.

Eye Contour Filler
Crow's feet lines around the eyes and wrinkles between the eyelid and eyebrows can be eliminated with fillers. Men can also get rid of under-eye bags for a while by getting fillers around their eyes. It is also possible to make the eyebrows look more lifted by filling the area around the eyebrows.

Masseter Filling
This type of filler aims to prevent the masculine and harsh appearance on the face by targeting the masseter muscle. The excessive size of this muscle causes a square face shape in women. Square face shape is reduced with Mester filling. Those with a round or square face shape can achieve a heart or triangle face shape after the procedure.

Teeth Grinding Filling Treatment
Unconscious grinding of teeth is a problem that can cause physical pain and many dental problems. This problem is more common especially in people who sleep with their teeth clenched. By injecting botulinum toxin into the large muscle called Masseter, which is responsible for jaw movement, the muscles are weakened. In this way, complications that may arise from teeth grinding can be prevented, albeit temporarily.

Filling for Excessive Sweating
When the filler is applied to the sweat glands, the conduction between the sweat glands and nerve endings can be stopped and the functioning of the sweat glands can be reduced. The areas of the body that sweat the most are the palms and armpits.

Fillers in Migraine Treatment
Fillers are also effective in treating muscle spasms and migraine pain. Botulinum toxin is injected into the forehead, temple, nape and neck area. The patient can get rid of severe migraine pain for 4-6 months.

How long is the lifespan of the filler?
The lifespan of the filler may vary from person to person, depending on the area filled and the dose used during the procedure. In general, filling life varies between 4-6 months. After the second application, the effect of the filler is also prolonged. In order for the filler to show its effects for a longer period of time, the person must have at least 5-6 sessions of filler in the same area.
